SUMMARY:January 31\, Willard Swartley\, author of Covenant of Peace\: the Missing Peace in New Testament Theology and Ethics\, is coming to Raleigh.
DESCRIPTION:<p>All meetings will be at 1116 N Blount St.  At 4\:00 PM he will address “Preaching and Teaching Peace in the Church”.  At 7 PM he will speak on the “Gospel of Peace\: Biblical Witness and Challenge”.  Sunday morning Swartley will preach at the Raleigh Mennonite Tuesday\, February 3\, Swartley will be speaking at Duke Divinity  School.</p>
 <p>In his book\, Swartley explores virtually all of the New Testament\, relating peace – and the associated emphases of love for enemies and reconciliation – to core theological themes such as salvation\, Christology\, and the kingdom of God.  He concludes his book by considering specific practices that lead to peacemaking and their place in our contemporary world.</p>
